Verse 1 · the opening

God, please grant us such a boon — fill us with all the virtues of the world.

Verse 2 · be like a flower

May we smile like flowers · spread the fragrance of love on everyone · feel joy in helping others — fill our hearts with such feelings, God grant us this boon.

Verse 3 · be a lamp

May we become lamps and fight darkness · may this world be lit up because of us · may we never panic in sorrow · make our body and mind strong, God grant us this boon.

Verse 4 · the path of truth

May we keep walking the path of truth · show the right path to everyone · together find the fruits of life — fill us with such knowledge and wisdom, God grant us this boon.

Stanza 1 · inside the egg

At first my home was egg-shaped (I was inside the egg). Back then I used to think that this much is the entire world.

Stanza 2 · in the nest

Then my home became a nest, made from dry twigs. Back then too I used to think that this much is the entire world.

Stanza 3 · open sky

Finally, when I flew far into the sky with my wings spread — only then did I realise: this world is very, very big!

🎯 What to listen for

  • The same two lines ("तब मैं यही समझती थी / बस इतना सा ही है संसार") repeat in stanzas 1 and 2 — that's the rhythm.
  • Stanza 3 changes the ending to "बहुत बड़ा है यह संसार" — this is the twist.
  • The rhyme: आकार · संसार · तैयार · पसार all end in "-aar".
